Kevin Matthew Lau
Kevin Lau is a Canadian dancer and performer, and a native of Toronto, Ontario. Training in contemporary dance, ballet, jazz, and hip-hop since the age of 14, Kevin attended Claude Watson School for the Arts, and later its continuing arts program at Earl Haig Secondary School. He is also an alumni of the School of Alberta Ballet, under the directorship of Edmund Stripe.
In 2020, Kevin graduated summa cum laude from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) degree in Contemporary Dance. Throughout the years, he has been fortunate to train at various dance workshops and intensives including: Springboard Danse Montréal (Canada), Arts Umbrella Dance (Vancouver, CAN), NOD [Nuovo Officina Della Danza] (Torino, Italy), and Ultima Vez (Brussels, Belgium). He has danced the repertoire of Ohad Naharin, Mark Morris, Zoe Scofield, and Kate Weare; and has also worked with choreographers like Christoph Winkler, Shamel Pitts, and Lauren Edson.
Kevin is currently a freelance dance artist based in Berlin, Germany.
